THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chamber of Commerce, Thiruvananthapuram, has expressed distress over the failure of the all-party meeting convened by the Chief Minister to consider banning traffic-choking processions and demonstrations in front of the Secretariat and along the arterial M.G. Road.

A spokesman of the chamber said here that the one or two minor points that saw a convergence of opinion are either trivial or rule themselves out for being put into practice. The chamber wanted the State Government to resolutely invoke the directives issued by the High Court last year banning protests and demonstrations in front of the Secretariat and along the M. G. Road.
