HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Government plans to send a team of officials to Mauritius to explore bilateral co-operation in the fields of IT and tourism.

The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, met the visiting Prime Minister of Mauritius, Mr Naveenchandra Ramgoolam, on Wednesday.

Showcasing the State as a destination for investments, he asked the Mauritius Prime Minister to open a recruitment centre at Hyderabad.

He also briefed him about the vast potential for growth of IT and ITES sectors, stating that a large talented human resources pool was available in the State with 86,000 engineers, a Government release said.
