RELIANCE, Tata Group, Venkateswara Hatcheries, Syngenta, Mahyco are among the major corporates along with a host of seed and fertiliser companies that will participate in the special exhibition being organised at the upcoming 93rd Indian Science Congress in Hyderabad during January 3-7.

Another feature of the exhibition will be the `Sampurna Pavilion', which will for the first time highlight the PURA Model (Providing Urban Amenities for Rural Areas), proposed by the President, Mr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Bharat Nirman - Pride of India Expo, as it is called, the exhibition has attracted over 200 participants and offered a total area of 10,000 sq. mt. It will also have a special pavilion on agriculture, which is the focal theme of the Science Congress.

The exhibition will also showcase the best achievements of various scientific laboratories, public sector units as well as technology driven industries in the country, said Dr I.V.R. Subba Rao, General President of the Congress.

The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will open the mega event on January 3 at the Acharya N.G. Ranga Agriculture University. It will also host a Children's Science Congress, to be inaugurated by Mr Kalam on January 5.

Three Nobel laureates, Prof Amartya Sen, Prof Richard R Ernst, and Prof Wangari Mathai are expected to attend the Congress.
