TRADE between India and the European Union has immense potential in the agricultural and food sectors, an area the EU is looking at seriously, according to Ms Mariella Cantagalli, First Secretary - Trade and Economic Section, Delegation of the European Commission in India.

Addressing the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), she said agro-food is one of the important areas, the others being finance, information technology, healthcare, textiles and pharmaceuticals.
