THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, will inaugurate the three-day International Congress on Kerala Studies (ICKS) being organised here by the AKG Centre for Research and Studies from Friday.

The AKG Centre Director, Mr M.A. Baby, and seminar convener, Dr T.M. Thomas Isaac, said here that 525 panelists from within and outside the country would lead the discussions covering a gamut of issues relating to societal and developmental issues pertaining to the State.

Among those expected to take part in the valedictory function are CPM leader Mr Prakash Karat, the Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, and his Tripura counterpart, Mr Manik Sarkar.
