HYDERABAD: As part of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations, the Geology Department of Osmania University is organising a National Workshop on Geo-Science Education recent trends and challenges on December 18.

The workshop would help evolve and formulate a model curriculum as per the latest guidelines of the University Grants Commission, keeping in view the future requirements of the industry.

In a press release, Prof A.P. Siva Kumar, Convenor of the Workshop and from the Geology Department, said the recent trends in computer compatible courses in geosciences such as Remote Sensing and GIS as well as the software developments need to be integrated into the curricula.
