Srei Sahaj e-Village Ltd, a subsidiary of Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd, which is striving to bring the government, businesses and services to rural India through an expanding network of village level entrepreneurs, is in the process of expanding its bouquet of services. The Inter-Ministerial Coordination Committee has approved certain recommendations that will make the Common Service Centre (CSC) scheme more viable, the company said in a statement on Monday. In one of the recommendations approved by the Inter-Ministerial committee, the CSCs can now charge Rs 100 per hour from the concerned government department that will avail itself of CSC services for data entry work. Further, all government departments will be paying a lump sum usage charges at the rate of Rs 2,500 per month. Also, CSCs will be paid Rs 500 per block per month for any work specific to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. — Our Bureau
