PTC announced a co-operative marketing agreement with IBM to offer Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions to China. The strategy also includes targeting of growth industries such as electronics, consumer packaged goods and life sciences in Europe and the US.

The partnership will be effective January 1, 2006, said the release issued by the company. PTC and IBM will now offer customers a PLM solution that will easily integrate with ERP, SCM and CRM software.

"The PTC relationship will complement IBM's existing PLM strategy by delivering client value in emerging markets such as China and growth industries," said Mr Walter Donaldson, General Manager, Worldwide Product Lifecycle Management, IBM.
