NEWGEN Software Technologies Ltd has made great strides with its BPM (Business Process Management) product in Kenya, West Asia and South Africa.

This product company from India now has more than 50 clients in West Asia and South African region. `We are adding 5 customers every month,' its Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Mr Punit Jain told Business Line.

Sharing information about the company's foray into these markets, he said the company had 26 partners in West Asia and the business volume was around Rs 2.5 crore last year. `We are confident of achieving Rs 12 crore this year.'

On India market, he said the company was targeting a turnover of Rs 40 crore this year.

Mr Jain said the company was exploring the potential in newer markets such as Iran, Turkey and Central Europe. `Contrary to belief, there is some activity happening in these places,' he said.

Without identifying the client, Mr Jain said Newgen was close to clinching a deal with two banks in India for its BPM solution. `We have received enquiries from other public sector banks,' he said.
