INTELLICUS Technologies, a technology provider that was spun off from Impetus Technologies, is eyeing the growing Web reporting market worldwide and has carved out a marketing arm for India and a global support team for various industry verticals.
The Impetus Technologies CEO, Mr Praveen Kankariya, told Business Line that the company teams were in parleys with some Indian software product and services companies to expand the product reach and had also created a separate 24x7 technical support centre.
This is aimed at targeting Web reporting which forms integral part of business intelligence solutions.
In India, it is estimated at about $33 million in 2005 and projected to grow to about $70 million by 2007 encompassing IT, telecom, and banking and financial services and insurance sectors.
As an independent corporation, Intellicus customers include 3M, The Wells Fargo Bank, D&B, Movaris, and Citadon.
Intellicus has been carved out to service customers in healthcare, asset management, credit management, banking, collaboration software, and specialised verticals that require compliance solutions for Sarbannes-Oxley and HIPPA, he said.
Intellicus has ramped up its telesales team and plans to spread to all major cities in India over the next couple of years.
"We plan to have a separate support and implementation team specially designed for India, helping in other Indian languages. Intellicus is completely internationalised and provides interfaces in German, Arabic, Spanish, and English, besides other Indian languages."
