TRANSERA Communications Inc, the US based start-up, has launched Seratel, a call management software, for Indian call centre and BPO companies. The software is delivered as a service to its customer.

Mr Prem Uppaluru, President and CEO of Transera, addressing the media here on Wednesday, said, "Currently the cost of equipment for running the centre is about $100 to $125 per agent. With Seratel we can help the companies bring down their cost by 50 per cent".

The software helps call centre companies to bring down their hardware and equipment cost. "As the Indian call centre business is growing so is the expenditure on manpower. In order to be competitive Indian companies will have to reduce their equipment cost and it is in this area that we are offering our services," he said.
