Kochi, Feb. 27
The container feeder vessel
SAF Marine Pakistan, which was detained by the Lakshadweep police after some of its crew members disembarked in an uninhabited island without permission, has been brought to Kochi Port by the Coastguard for further investigation.
It is pointed out by the authorities here that four of the crew members, who were arrested by the police, would be jointly interrogated by the Intelligence Bureau, Police and Kochi Customs.
Senior officials at the Customs said that they would examine the 500 containers carried by the ship at the port. The ship was on its way to Tuticorin port from the Port of Salalah when the Captain and three other crew members decided to drop anchorage and visit the uninhabited Suhali island last week.
