Jet Airways said it plans to offer its passengers an online facility to trace missing baggage. The facility would enable passengers to check the status of their missing or delayed baggage using an internationally used baggage tracing system, which can be accessed on the airline's Web site,, in the `Product & Services' section.

Passengers would have to report their missing baggage or delay in receipt of their baggage at Jet Airways' airport offices. They would then be given a 10-character file reference, which they would have to use on the Web site to get information on their baggage status. The airline would keep passengers posted about the status of their baggage. Once it is located, the baggage would be delivered to a contact address provided by the passenger.
