The Airports Authority of India (AAI), which has put in place intranet facility for administrative purposes at Mangalore airport, is now in the process of setting up of touch screen-based information kiosks for the benefit of passengers.

In an informal chat with presspersons on the sidelines of a function to inaugurate various facilities for AAI employees here on Wednesday, Mr M.R. Vasudeva, Airport Director, Mangalore, said that the intranet facility has already been made available at Mangalore airport for administrative purposes.

To provide better facilities to passengers, the AAI will shortly set up information kiosks at arrival and departure lounges of the airport.

Added to this, wireless access point has been provided at the airport. This will help passengers to access Internet facility through their laptops within a radius of 100 metres in the airport, he said.

The Superintendent of Police, Mr B. Dayananda, inaugurated various facilities for AAI employees on the occasion.
