AFTER Air Sahara wooed the Indian masses with a promotional return airfare of Rs 10,000 plus taxes to London and Jet Airways offered a return airfare for Rs 18,000 plus taxes, it is the turn of British Airways.

On Monday, the airline announced a discounted return airfare of Rs 14,500 for travel from Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai to London.

Currently, the airline is offering a return ticket to London at about Rs 24,000 (excluding the taxes). The taxes on a return ticket to London are in the range of Rs 8,000.

In addition, BA passengers can extend their journey to any destination in the UK, Munich or Frankfurt after paying Rs 3,000 and the taxes, while for Rs 35,000 and the applicable taxes a passenger can travel to any destination in the US including Washington, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles among others.

In a statement, the airline has said that to avail themselves of these special fares passengers must make the booking before February 28 and start their journey before May 31 this year.

Besides, passengers can also avail themselves of discounts in first, club world and world traveller class. Passengers travelling from Chennai to the UK, Europe, US and Canada in first class can get up to 50 per cent off on the current published fares. To avail themselves of this offer, the return travel must be to Chennai and all travel must be completed before March 25 this year.

In world traveller plus, there is a special return fare of Rs 40,000 excluding taxes being offered on routes connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata or Bangalore to UK and select destinations in Europe.
