Tech27 Systems Pvt Ltd, a Kozhikode-based software developer, has launched an application for handheld computers that can download and store data wirelessly. Name `Inspectron,' the software is targeted at field personnel in industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, retail, financial services, communication, transportation and utilities, Tech27 Systems said in a statement here. Inspectron will help users carry hundreds of records in the handheld computer and let them download work orders, access enterprise data and record work orders and impairment reports from remote locations, the company claimed. Tech27 Systems has already launched the software in the UK under the name `Dtrac,' which is being provided under an application service provider (ASP) model.
