After shattering all box office records, Aamir Khan's blockbuster film 3 idiots will see a Tamil remake soon.

When asked, Mr Rajkumar Hirani, Director of 3 idiots confirmed the development to Business Line. “We are in advanced talks with few production houses that have shown interest in making the film in Tamil,” he said.

According to sources, a deal is likely to be stuck with south-based Gemini Films Circuit for the remake rights of the movie for around Rs 10 -15 crore. However, Mr Hirani said nothing has been finalised yet.

Earlier, the studio had purchased the remake rights of Munnabhai movies for all the four South Indian languages.

Made with a budget of around Rs 45 crore, 3 Idiots has already raked in over Rs 240 crore in just ten days.
