MUMBAI: Foreign institutional investors, non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin can now purchase shares of Centurion Bank of Punjab through stock exchanges under the Portfolio Investment Scheme, said the Reserve Bank of India.

The RBI said that post-the merger of Centurion Bank with Bank of Punjab with effect from October 1, the paid-up capital of the bank has increased.
