Punjab National Bank has opened a new ATM at Maradu near Tripunithura opposite Abad Nucleus Mall on the Kochi-Madura National Highway.

Ms Jayaprabha Pradeep, Principal, Gregorian Public School, Maradu, was the chief guest and opened the ATM to the public.

Mr K.V. Rajesh, Circle Head of the Bank, presided over the function. Speaking on the occasion, he said the new ATM was opened at Maradu to cater to the needs of the teachers and students and also those who commute through the Kochi-Madura National Highway.

This is the third ATM functioning under the Tripunithura branch of the bank.

He said the business of the bank in Kerala is touching Rs 6,000 crore and the bank has plans to open more ATMs in different locations of the State.

In order to provide full range of financial products to the customers and to realise full value of the bank's reach and customer base, the bank has decided to have a re-look at its strategy for insurance business.

The bank has, for the purpose, invited expression of interest (EoI) for strategic partnership in life insurance and non-life insurance business from reputed Indian and global companies interested in partnering it in the insurance business, Mr Rajesh said.
