The 1703rd branch of Indian Bank, fully computerised with locker and bio-metric ATM facilities,was inaugurated by the District Collector, Mr P. Muthuveeran, here on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, Mr M.S. Sundara Rajan, said that the branch was 786th one in Tamil Nadu and would strive to promote agricultural activities in the region through promotion of farmers' clubs besides disbursement of more loans to agriculture and self-help groups. Additionally, the branch would provide more value added services including wealth managementand engage in financial literacy programme, he added. – Our Correspondent
