Bond prices were flat on Monday as market participants adopted a cautious stance ahead of the auction announcement for this week. Traders are waiting for the auction announcement by the RBI for further cues, said a dealer with a public sector bank. The total traded volume on the order matching system was at Rs 9,595 crore. The 7.02 per cent-6 year-2016 paper opened at Rs 97.45 (7.53 per cent YTM) and ended at Rs 97.33 (7.55 per cent YTM), against the previous close of Rs 97.37 (7.55 per cent YTM). The newly auctioned 10-year benchmark 7.8 per cent-2020 paper opened at Rs 100.40 (7.74 per cent YTM) and ended the day at Rs 100.41(7.74 per cent YTM). The 8.20-12 year-2022 paper opened at Rs 101.68 (7.97 per cent YTM) and ended the day at Rs 101.48 (8 per cent YTM). — Our Bureau
