Oracle has won the Bangalore round of ‘Cerebration’ — the Business Line Corporate quiz.
Yagnyeshwaran Hariharan and Mitesh Agarwal, after incurring a few negative points, came back in the buzzer round to finish on top.
ING Vysya Bank represented by Prasad Shetty and Samrat Mukherjee lost to Oracle by a whisker ( one point). Management students from IIM-Bangalore took on the corporate biggies and came third.
Oracle will face Chennai regional winner TCS, Coimbatore regional winner TCS, Hyderabad regional winner Vizag Steel, and Delhi’s Genpact at the national finals to be held in Mumbai on January 26. Earlier in the day, about 50 teams took part in the preliminary written round in Bangalore, of which six teams – Oracle, IIM-B, ING Vysya, HSBC, Life is Outside, and Attra Infotech qualified.

D.M. Mujumdar, Deputy General Manager, Corporation Bank, gave away the prizes. The title sponsor was Corporation Bank and associate sponsors NCDEX and SAIL.
