The Kerala Government will float a company for the development of industrial infrastructure in the State.

The proposed company will be on the lines of Cochin International Airports Ltd (CIAL), according to Chief Minister Mr V.S. Achuthanandan.

He told newspersons after a Cabinet meeting on Friday that the Government has also decided to form a joint venture company to establish an international convention centre at nearby Aakulam.

GOVT EQUITY

The Government will hold 26 per cent equity in the company, which is being promoted by the Tourism Department.

The Chief Minister said that he would hold an all-party meeting to discuss all the aspects of the Mullaperiyar dam issue on November 20.

He hoped that an amicable solution could be worked out with Tamil Nadu on the issue at the meeting of the two States called by the Union Water Resources Minister in Delhi on November 29.
