PRIST School of Business (PSB) established in 2001 is a natural offshoot of PRIST University’s professional intention to provide an academic platform to nurture managerial skills and prepare global leaders amongst the students. Since then, PSB has been built on its base of highly accomplished faculty, world class infrastructure and motivated student community and has emerged as one of the best Business schools for management education and research in the region. PSB strives to achieve excellence through partnerships with industries and leading international academic institutions. PSB has created a niche of its own, with a curriculum rooted in the value-based education of our diverse and rich cultural hegemony which is at the same time is committed to embrace contemporary frontiers in management education. The curriculum is a judicious blend of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. A solid grounding on management is facilitated in the first year of the MBA programme with an optimal portfolio of core courses in management, marketing and finance. The second year opens up the wide world of management for a specialized study opted by the student. 

The teaching-learning-evaluation framework is built on student-driver learning that comprises teaching strategies and pedagogy focusing on activity-based learning interspersed with case teaching and analysis, multi-media presentations and video-based learning.  Major and minor projects provide the necessary field exposure that sets the agenda for institute-industry interaction that leads to logical culmination in the avenues of research and placement. Experts from the business and political world such as Dr. Subramaniam Swamy, Mr. Balamurugan of Accenture, Mr. Gomathi Shankar of Easan, Mr. E. Sarath Babu of FoodKings have graced the portals of PSB to appraise the students on key issues facing the national and global community. 

Academic-Corporate co-operation has been given a huge fillip with PRIST signing MOUs with business giants such as TCS, Voltech Engineers etc. PSB has also signed MOUs with international institutes such as London School of Business Management, American University in the Emirates, University of Information Technology and Management, Pollond for Student and Staff Exchange programmes. HAL, HLL, Chettinad Cements, Tuticorin Port Trust, Karnataka Soaps are a few of the companies that are regularly visited for industrial training to further student learning and allow an application-based perspective to knowledge accumulation.

Student placement activity is given its due credit with the Placement Division being led by a full-time Director of Placement and Student Affairs.  Of the several of companies where PSB alumni have initiated their career are TCS, CUB, HCL, Airtel, Accenture, HDFC and ICICI.

The success of the PSB management programme can be evinced from PSB’s foray into multi-campus ventures at Chennai, Trichy, Kumbakonam and Puducherry.
