Affiliated to Gulbarga University, the Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) on Tuesday opened its Ahmedabad campus where students will be mentored by alumni from National Institute of Design (NID) and other institutions.

The new campus, which will shape the skills of designers in various disciplines, commenced the first batch of students on Tuesday. The institute will offer four-year full-time degree programme in five disciplines of design from this year.

These include fashion design, lifestyle and accessories design, product design, interior design, fine arts (visual communications and graphic design) and post-graduation in fashion retail management area, according to a press release.
