Adani Enterprises, today announced a long term tie-up and signing of a partnership agreement with Japan’s Kowa Company, entailing joint co-operation in areas like infrastructure and trade both in Japan and India.
Adani Enterprises is the flagship company of leading infrastructure conglomerate, the Adani group, while Kowa Company is a leading diversified group in Japan.
As per the “Business Alliance Agreement”, Kowa will facilitate Adani’s initiation to do business with Japanese firms and help the Indian conglomerate develop its key businesses such as ports, shipping, coal mining, transportation of coal and power, a press release issued here stated.
The pact will also empower Kowa to act as a first contact for Adani’s business operations in Japan while Adani will act in a similar capacity to facilitate Kowa’s business interests in India, it said.
The agreement was signed between Kowa Company’s President & CEO, Mr Yoshiro Miwa, and Adani Group Chairman, Mr Gautam Adani, in Japan today.
Mr Gautam Adani said, “I am confident that Kowa will help us derive synergies for fast track growth in the highly competitive APAC region. We look forward to a long, mutually beneficial and strategic partnership with Kowa.”
The Adani Group’s decision to expand business in Japan is a significant development pursuant to the group’s ambition to emerge as a global infrastructure and energy player.
