Alstom Bharat Forge said on Friday that the company has signed a contract worth ₹1,136.50 crore with NTPC to supply two units of 660 MW supercritical turbine islands or the Tanda, coal-based power plant in Uttar Pradesh. It is a joint venture of Alstom and Bharat Forge. The scope of work includes engineering, manufacturing, testing, supply, erection and commissioning of the two turbine islands and auxiliaries for the plant. The equipment for the project will be manufactured at ABFPL’s new manufacturing facility at Sanand in Gujarat, which will be commissioned starting October.
