Alstom T&D India has secured an order worth ₹200 crore from Power Grid Corporation to supply transformers for the upgrade and expansion of 400/220kV grid sub-stations across eastern India.
“The project is part of the Eastern Region Strengthening Scheme of PowerGrid, which aims to improve the transmission infrastructure in West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar in eastern India,” the company said in a statement.
As part of the contract, Alstom will upgrade the existing 400/220 kV sub-stations by installing new equipment such as circuit breakers, instrument transformers, protection and control panels.
