An all-inclusive app for consumers of CESC

The Kolkata-based electricity generation and distribution utility, CESC Ltd, on Thursday launched a mobile application (app) for use of both existing and prospective consumers. The platform independent app will help prospective consumers to submit applications and track its progress online. For existing consumers, the application will offer the entire range of services including complaints, company Chairman Sanjiv Goenka told newspersons.

The consumers can now track their electricity consumption details on real-time basis on the company Web site.

CESC caters to nearly 29 lakh consumers in the Kolkata metropolitan area. Due to lower presence of industry within city limits, the demand is driven by household and commercial segments.
