Areva T&D India has been awarded Rs 120-crore contract by L&T Power for equipment supplies to a project being set up by private developer Visa Power Ltd.
The contract entails supply and installation of electrical balance of plant solutions for the upcoming 2x600 MW thermal power plant at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
As part of the project, Areva T&D will manufacture and install a 400 kV air-insulated substation (AIS) with civil works, along with power plant distribution systems comprising medium voltage switchgears, service and distribution transformers, low voltages switchboards, cables and bus ducts, a statement from Areva T&D said.
