BHEL eastern region has added 2,036 MW to the national grid during 2010-11 and achieved a turnover of Rs 2,190 crore during the fiscal.
Last fiscal’s turnover was 27 per cent higher over the previous financial year. The eastern region clocked a gross profit of Rs 114 crore in 2010-11, BHEL said in a statement.
BHEL eastern region also participated in the tendering process for projects with a combined capacity of 4,190 MW, it said.
Projects synchronised during the year were 2X500 MW at Mejia, 1X250 MW at Santaldih, 1X525 at Maithon Right Bank, 1X120 MW Tata Power at Jojobera and 1X21 MW at Baramura Gas Turbine (Tripura).
