Berger Paints India Ltd reported a 33 per cent increase in standalone net profit to Rs 36.91 crore, for the quarter ending December 31, 2010.
The company clocked a net profit of Rs 27.76 crore during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. According to a company release, its net sales on a standalone basis for the quarter increased by 29 per cent to Rs 549 crore.
On a consolidated basis, the company reported a 32 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 43.85 crore during the current quarter, from Rs 33.36 crore it reported in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Berger Paints stock was up 2.78 per cent at Rs 77.65 after the close of Friday's trade on the BSE.
