Bevcon Wayors, a bulk material handling company has tied up with Rolli Vibra, a Spanish major, which manufactures vibrating machinery.
The Hyderabad-based Bevcon signed a joint venture agreement. Accordingly, Bevcon and Rolli Vibra will start with the supply of a range of ‘Sizers' for sectors such as cement, mineral and material processing, aggregate, etc.
According to Mr P. Suneel Lakshman, Managing Director of Bevcon, the joint venture will manufacture de-watering screens for washeries and design and manufacture other equipment for biomass, municipal solid waste, composting and other applications at a later stage. It will be done through a joint subsidiary.
Rolli Vibra, with a turnover of €60 million, makes a wide range of equipment such as vibrating conveyors, vibrating screens, statistical screens, and vibrating elevators.
The products find application in aggregate, food, recycling and construction industries in Europe, said Mr Vicente Ruiz Garcia, Managing Director.
The venture will also introduce the new technology ‘flip-flop' screens (which help cut out moisture content by 50-60 per cent in imported coals) of lower ranges for the aggregate, coal and compost and municipal waste sectors.
For Rolli, with markets in Europe, Africa and the US, India will mark its entry into the Asian markets, he told Business Line here.
For the first year, the focus would be on technology transfer and equipment import. After that depending on the growth, a subsidiary to manufacture the equipment would be set up. Plans are also afoot to export machines manufactured in India, he added.
Bevcon Wayors, a Rs 200-crore turnover company, is expanding its capabilities in advanced bulk material handling systems-crushing, screening, conveying, dust extraction etc. through international tie-ups. It provides turnkey solutions which include custom design, manufacturing, installation and servicing of bulk material handling equipment, Mr Lakshman added.
The company has already tied up with global engineering houses including Burnwell Technologies (Australia), Air-Tec System (Italy), Aerobelt Australia Pty Ltd (Australia), Friedrich Schwingtechnik (Germany), and Noma Siebtechnik (Germany).
