Late on March 21, actor Amitabh Bachchan tweeted that he and wife Jaya Bachchan are back together on screen for a Tanishq ad campaign – the first time in 10 years after their joint appearance in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam , released in 2001.
“Back on sets for Tanishq, the jewellery business of Tata's … solo today ... Jaya joins tomorrow … swift, orderly, efficient ... joy !” Then a few minutes later, he tweeted: “Early call tomorrow! With Jaya in front of cameras after K3G ... Been a while …!” In later tweets, he said, “Must get her in front of the cameras with me … she is such a natural!”
Asked about this at the opening of the new store, Mr Venkataraman, however, declined to reveal more about the campaign but said it would be out very soon as the news was out.
Mr Bachchan mentions on his blog, BIGBlog, that Prakash Varma of Nirvana Films (and of Vodafone Zoozoo fame), is directing the film.
