Germany-based Blaupunkt Holding has established an Indian subsidiary in partnership with AutoSonics India Pvt Ltd. The two hold 55 per cent and 45 per cent stake, respectively, in the new venture company. Dr Placke, CEO of Blaupunkt Group, said: “India has always been a strategic market for Blaupunkt – both for OE and retail business.
Blaupunkt India is in a very good position to meet the needs of the OE segment.” Blaupunkt is currently working with several OEs for their next generation solutions, including high-end infotainment, multimedia and navigation solutions. Local assembly operations are also on the road map, he added.
