Backed by 81 per cent growth in revenues, Bangalore-based real estate developer Brigade Group's net profits for the first quarter of this fiscal went up 91 per cent to Rs 26.54 crore. Last year, the company's net profits stood at Rs 13.92 crore. Revenues for the quarter were Rs 167.83 crore (Rs 92.48 crore). The company also informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that its board has given unanimous approval for incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary to carry on mall management business. This is significant as the Orion Mall, located at its Brigade Gateway project, will be operational this year. —
