Clariant has inaugurated the first regional innovation centre (RIC) in India at its headquarters in Navi Mumbai. The new facility will host about 100 technical employees in chemical research and application development. The RIC bundles research, application development and analytical laboratories, critical business functions and technical marketing under one roof, the company said in a release on Thursday. “With its close proximity to regional customers, the RIC India would facilitate cross-fertilisation of ideas, and accelerate Clariant’s innovative efforts toward delivering fast and tailor made solutions,” said Christian Kohlpaintner, Member of Clariant Executive Committee, in the statement.
