A team of officials from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd, an affiliate of the Power Ministry, is visiting Hyderabad tomorrow to discuss implementation of energy conservation measures. EESL, a joint venture between NTPC, Powergrid and other PSUs, will put forward a proposal envisaging replacement of inefficient pump sets, lighting systems in government buildings and other measures. A report of Bureau of Energy Efficiency says there is a scope of saving of around 20 per cent energy in the areas of domestic, agriculture and government buildings.
