State-promoted Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) has reported an increase of 26 per cent in net profit and 27 per cent in sales in the second quarter of 2011-12, ended September 30, as compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous fiscal year.
While the sales were Rs 1,020 crore (Rs 801 crore), profit was Rs 80.86 crore (Rs 63.96 crore), according to a company statement here.
On Friday, GNFC's share price at the BSE closed 1.15 per cent down at Rs 90.
The company's various projects, being developed at a total investment of Rs 3,975 crore, are at various stages of implementation at present.
