GVK Biosciences Pvt Ltd, which has announced a new branding initiative as Clinogent recently, will be expanding its clinical research facility in Ahmedabad. The expansion was part of the Hyderabad-based company’s plans to emerge as one of the top clinical research organisations in Asia, its Chief Executive Officer, Manni Kantipudi, told newspersons here on Thursday. According to Chetan Tamhankar, Senior Vice-President, Clinical Development, 50 new beds would be set up at the Ahmedabad facility which would take up the combined bed-strength in Hyderabad and Ahmedabad from 254 to 304 in the next three months.
