Gateway to set up hotel in Shimla

The Gateway Hotel and Resorts announced the signing of a new property in The Gateway Hotel Theog, Shimla, on Friday.

The 70-room hotel is being developed in association with Mahamaya Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. The hotel will be on a site close to the main city of Theog. It will be situated on a hilltop, spread over five acres. It will be equipped with an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, a spa and banquet, conference and meeting facilities that will cater to resident and non-resident guest requirements. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, a fitness centre and children's' play area.

With this, Gateway Hotel and Resorts has 39 hotels across the country. Gateway is a pan-India network of upscale hotels and resorts launched in 2008. The brand has been adding a new hotel to its portfolio every two months. Its portfolio consists of 20 operating hotels and 19 under development. The brand is present across a range of business and leisure destinations including Bangalore, Agra, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Madurai, Coonoor, Chikmagalur, Kozhikode and Kochi.
