State-run Hindustan Petroleum Corporation on Friday reported nearly seven-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 211.03 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 31.40 crore in the October-December quarter last fiscal, HPCL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The income from company operations also grew to Rs 33,902.50 crore in the December quarter from Rs 27,661.93 crore in the year-ago period, the filing added.
HPCL scrip today settled at Rs 340.30 a piece, up 0.07 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
