Hager India, a supplier of solutions and services for electrical installations for residential and commercial buildings and industry, is expanding its operations in India.
The company has established its corporate office in Pune to focus on introducing new products and solutions for the Indian market. This will complement its production plant in Lonikand set up in 2008.
Hager is now gearing up to enter the Home Automation market in India by the year-end and will primarily focus on working with system integrators in providing solutions of lighting management of homes and commercial buildings. It is also adding production capacities and setting up a molding unit to enable backward integration.
Mr Benoit Lecuyer, Managing Director, Hager India said, “The Hager group has identified India as one of the strategic countries to grow its market share ambitiously and invest for future growth plans.”
The company will improve R&D efforts to adapt solutions for the Indian market, and localise manufacturing to increase local employment opportunities, he said, adding that the opening of a local warehousing facility has helped fulfil the on time delivery (OTD) demand from clients.
