Herbalife to expand presence in FMCG market

Herbalife in India, a direct-selling and nutrition company, has announced the launch of new range of shampoos and conditioners in Herbal Aloe Essence and plans to play a bigger role in the FMCG market.

Herbalife's range of outer nutrition products now include hair essentials such as the Herbal Aloe Everyday Shampoo and Herbal Aloe Everyday Conditioner.

Apart from the soothing aloe vera, these products also contain herbal and natural ingredients such as avocado, rosemary, grape seed and ginger extracts.

Mr Bill Rahn, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Herbalife, in a statement said, “Our expansion into the FMCG space is to cater to the needs of the brand's growing customer base. By regularly following up on our customer feedback and paying close attention to their needs, we decided to create a range of herbal shampoos and conditioners.”

“This is a huge step for Herbalife as this launch marks the aggressive growth and demand for Herbalife products in the Indian sub-continent,” he said.

Herbalife recently launched its range of outer nutrition products in India — ‘Nourifusion', which includes creams and lotions, as well as a new flavour of its energy drink, Afresh Ginger.

The company recently signed on cricketer Virat Kohli to endorse its inner nutrition products.
