Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd reported a 47 per cent increase in net profit for the June quarter on higher sales and other income. The company registered a net profit of Rs 112.98 crore for the June quarter on sales of Rs 1,687.21 crore, which rose 24 per cent during the quarter. In June quarter last year, Chambal Fertilisers had posted a net profit of Rs 77.06 crore on revenue of Rs 1364.63 crore. Chambal said the June quarter results have been prepared on the basis of notified concession prices for urea under the New Pricing Scheme (NPS) – Stage III. During the quarter, the company has made further investment of Rs 20.84 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary namely CFCL Overseas Ltd, Cayman Islands.
