US-based healthcare firm Meta Wellness has formed an association with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, to launch a lifestyle change programme for heart patients. As part of the programme, Meta Wellness will launch two physician led programmes, re:verse, for those already with a heart disease, and re:tune, for those who may be at risk of a heart disease.

The programmes are being offered in partnership with The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts starting with The Leela Mumbai and The Leela Kovalam.

re:verse is a 90-day programme combining intensive residential components. Participants can chose to do the residential components either in The Leela's city properties or the hotel's resort properties. Meta Wellness clinical teams will then remotely guide and monitor patients. re:tune is offered only at The Leela's resort properties aimed at providing an idyllic setting to participants for committing to a new lifestyle.

The programmes begin at Rs 1.5 lakh per participant for the 90-day programme inclusive of all costs including hotel stay and food and beverages.

Meta Wellness also plans to speak to health insurers to bring the two programmes under the gamut of insurance cover. “In the US, these programmes are covered under Medicare and Medicaid. We will talk to health insurers here and have a similar situation in India. It is in their interest because this is a preventive measure which is cheaper than the cost of surgeries,” said Mr Siddharth Rastogi, Chief Executive Officer, Meta Wellness.
