The US Food and Drug Administration has lifted an import alert on the Mexico facility of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.

The Hyderabad-based company received a clearance from the USFDA on Thursday, according to a release issued here on Friday.

“An inspection report after the last inspection from March 26-30 indicated that they are satisfied with all the outstanding action points that Dr Reddy’s has submitted,’’ the company said.

With the lifting of the import alert, Dr Reddy’s can now start importing products to the US from this facility which produces intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

In June last year, the USFDA had imposed an import alert for certain specified products made at the facility. The revenue impact suffered by Dr Reddy’s could be about $15 million for the last one year.
