The India-South Africa match during the group stages of World Cup 2011 was the most watched online streaming event in India. Akamai Technologies, which has been delivering the online streaming videos to espnstar.com, said video streaming data exceeded 43 gigabytes per second at its peak during that match.

There were over three million streams delivered to over 1.5 million unique viewers, while espnstar.com got 12.7 million page views.

Through the first 42 matches, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Free Live Streaming section has received more than 55 million views globally, serving 30 million video streams to 17 million unique viewers. The India games, so far, have accounted for 10.7 million streams, peaking at 3 million for the India versus South Africa game.
