An Asia-Pacific international pharma business meet will be held in Hyderabad from September 26th to 28th. Organised by Pharmexcil, the meet will see importers / buyers and regulatory officials from 12 major countries of the region taking part. India has a growing drugs and pharmaceutical business in these markets, Australia, Cambodia, Fiji, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam being the key nations. In view of the opportunities available for the Indian pharma sector to improve its export performance, the Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) has invited about 60 buyers from the above countries. Delegates from over 30 companies / FDA officials have confirmed their participation, a release said. Over the three days, there will be technical presentations by the regulators from various countries explaining their systems. There will also be one-on-one meetings with the buyers. An exhibition of Indian pharma companies is also being planned. The event is being organised as part of the Council’s 8th annual meet. There will be a CEOs’ conclave on September 27.
