Private power producer JSW Energy Ltd on Thursday said that its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 stood at Rs 152.84 cr.
During the same period last fiscal the company’s had registered a net profit of Rs 204.87 crore.
In a press statement issued by the company it said that the figures of the corresponding quarter are for thermal power plants with a capacity of 860 MW in Karnataka and hence not comparable.
It added that the results for the period under review are in respect of two thermal plants located at Toranagallu in Karnataka with a generation capacity of 860 MW and another such plant of 600 MW at Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
The company’s total income for the October to December quarter was at Rs 1110.2 crore. In the corresponding year-ago period the same stood at Rs 711.01 crore.
